The city of Philadelphia can be found in south-eastern Pennsylvania in the Mid-Atlantic region and is the fifth most populated city in the United States, often taking the nickname “Philly”. Philadelphia is a beautiful city due to the amount of public art that covers the streets and most of the exhibitions you will see are the work of Isaiah Zagar. Centre city Philly is home to most of the public displays and the two most notable are the famous LOVE statue and “The Clothespin”, easily accessible from here is the Magic Gardens; a half block exhibition showcasing the work of previously mentioned mosaicist Isaiah Zagar, throughout the walk you’ll discover many more of his stunning mosaics and also some Latin-American and Asian statues. For cultured travellers there are plenty of historic sites and museums scattered throughout the city, two of the most popular are; the Rare Book Department of the Free Library of Philadelphia; which offers a free tour and the University Of Pennsylvania Museum Of Archaeology and Anthropology; which houses an impressive collection of Egyptian and Greco-Roman artefacts.
