The City of Angels, L.A or Los Angeles, the most populated area in California goes by a few nicknames and is the second most populated city in the United States of America. Stretching along the broad basin of California, Los Angeles is made up of dramatic mountain ranges, lush forest, barren deserts, seemingly endless valley and spectacular beaches. Los Angeles is as famous as it is infamous for being the focus of the world’s television, movie and recording industry.
Downtown is home to the Grand Avenue cultural corridor and must see attractions consist of Grand Central Market, the Disney Concert Hall, Chinatown, Little Tokyo, and the Museum of Contemporary Art, there are also some intriguing examples of international and American influenced architecture to glimpse upon. Echo Park; a delightful lake side park and Griffith Park; one of the largest urban parks in North America can be found in the Eastside of Los Angeles and make for lovely breaks from the city life while the most famous district, Hollywood is best known as the Entertainment Capital of the United States. Hollywood for tourists begins around three important boulevards, Sunset Boulevard, Hollywood Boulevard and Melrose Boulevard.
Highlights of the area include the iconic Hollywood sign, the Hollywood Wax Museum, the Walk of Fame and Ripley’s Believe It or Not Museum.
